Colt Lightning Magazine Rifle CLMR Small Frame .22 Pump Rifle

This ad is for a Colt Small Frame Lightning Rifle. A total of 89,912 were manufactured made between 1887 and 1904. This example is an Antique and in very fine condition overall with the .22 caliber octagon barrel retaining approximately 80% of the original blue finish, the balance of the rifle also retains approximately 80% of the original blue finish. The rifle is complete and original. The bore has pronounced rifling but the grooves are dark. The walnut stocks are in very good condition with substantial original varnish remaining on both the handguard and the butt stock.
The original rampant colt hard rubber butt plate is in excellent condition with clear rampant Colt design. Overall, a nice example of a scarce and often hard used early Colt .22 caliber pump rifle.
