This is a Colt 1849 Pocket Model in .31 caliber. The numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder match, and were made in 1868. The number on the barrel does not match, and it was made in 1856. It features a 4” octagonal barrel, 6-shot cylinder with a faint stagecoach scene, hinged loading lever, and brass grips. It is in nice condition for a pocket pistol this old, with most of the finish worn away. The fit is tight, with good timing and strong springs. A great example of this antique pistol!
