This is the earlier percussion carbine. Mechanically it is excellent. The front sight is missing, but easily replaced. The bore is good with good lands and grooves. The wood shows much use, but is solid with no splits. It is an early four- digit serial No. I would expect it rode a long way during the War! A good solid piece for your collection.
