This antique British Hollis & Sheath transition percussion revolver is chambered in .36 caliber with a 5 inch barrel. There is no visible serial number. The right side of the frame is marked “LONDON” and the left side of the frame is marked “HOLLIS & SHEATH”. About 90% of an old reblue finish remains on the barrel and cylinder. The frame is silver plated and engraved. The bore is in good condition overall. This revolver is double action only. All action mechanisms and the bar hammer are in good working condition. Note that the return spring was not designed to put the gun back into battery. Instead, the ring trigger was designed to be pushed forward after each shot.
If used as designed, the gun will index correctly (even if you forget and rely on the return spring, it will still index correctly most of the time).
The factory two-piece checkered walnut grips are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
