The barrel is clearly marked BOWN & TETLEY MAKERS PITTSBURGH. 41 ¼ inch octagon barrel. Appears to have been flint. Missing the lock. Retains a pleasing patina. The barrel tang is broken after the screw, however the piece is present. Brass mounted. Wood has some dings and handling marks, some old cracks and a piece missing from the left side. A big neat project for someone. Roughly 56 ¼ inches long overall. Made in the mid-1800's. There's an old tag attached to the trigger guard stating it was purchased South of Sidney Ohio in 1957.
