This is a Belgian "The Defender American Model 1878" in 7mm pinfire. It features a 2¾” octagonal barrel, a five-shot cylinder, well figured wood grips, folding trigger, and fixed front iron sight. This revolver is complete with all matching numbers, and functions normally in single and double action. The bluing has faded to a matte finish on the frame and has worn away from much of the barrel. The bore shows good rifling with very slight roughness as shown. A nice example of an antique pinfire.
This is an antique and does not require shipment to an RFD.
