Very good condition original antique Civil War Belgian Model 1857 Light Infantry Rifle Musket in .70 caliber percussion. Mechanically functions fine and tight. Lock is marked “A. & CH. DE LONEUX LIEGE” on the lock. Mechanically functions fine. Metal finish is original bright with some brown patina. 40 ½” barrel has a very good bore with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has a carved “H”. Right side buttstock and top of wrist have Belgian proof mark stamps. Complete with correct original ramrod. A nice Civil War import Belgian manufactured musket
