Up for sale is a fairly early, antique Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle chambered in 38-40 Win/38 WCF. Octagonal barrel measures 24 ½" in length with a dark bore with heavily worn rifling and moderate pitting throughout. Smooth wood forend and straight grip buttstock are dark from age and show dings, dents.
Rifle is sighted with a blade front sight and semi-buckhorn sporting rear leaf. Magazine tube does appear to be somewhat crooked with a slight sweep to the left and some shallow dents. Markings are worn but still mostly visible. Built about 1893 based on the serial number.
