Antique Steyr Made German Model 1871 Mauser carbine in .43 Mauser. Made 1876 by Steyr in Austria-Hungary for the imperial German military. Imperial proofs retained on the right side of the barrel, receiver and stock. Unit marked “B.2.T.S.1.163.” On the butt plate. No import marks found. Matching serials on the numbered parts, including the rear sight and bolt. 20” barrel with original sights. Frame is in the white, with the balance of parts blued. Wood has been cut back, sanded and oiled. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with a natural gray patina forming throughout. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is shiny, with strong rifling.
