Up for sale, we have an antique muzzle loading squirrel rifle in 36 caliber. This rifle is from the estate of a local muzzle loading collector and appears to be in good condition considering the age of the rifle.
The stock features a Pewter nose cap and a decorative pewter star symbol on the butt stock. The 40” barrel has visible rifling that shows signs of usage over the last 150+ years but is still shootable. The rate of twist is slow twist indicating the rifle was intended for round ball usage. The double set trigger is functional with a crisp letoff. The rifle features fixed open sights with a drift adjustable rear sight and a brass front sight. Overall based upon the age of the rifle we would rate this piece at 80-85% condition.
