Antique Smith & Wesson Second Model Single Action Top Break .38 S&W Revolver
Introducing the Smith & Wesson .38 double action, 2nd model top break revolver, This particular model, serial number 51411 was produced in 1880.
This revolver features a 5-shot capacity, making it a reliable choice for personal protection or target shooting. This revolver is in good condition mechanically . Not the greatest looking example but should clean up much better that it looks. Very reliable with a smooth action and is a pleasure to shoot.
Condition: 3 ¼” barrel with a bore lightly oxidized and still showing good rifling.. The metal surface has turned to more of a gun metal antique finish with surface pitting from storage , and handling marks. The diamond checkered monogram hard rubber grips are in good shape.
All barrel markings are clear and somewhat legible and all appropriate parts are serialized to the gun. Barrel to frame fit is very tight and mechanically functions well in single action with good timing and lock-up
This firearm is an antique and no FFL is required.
