Antique Remington Rider Pocket revolver

Up for sale is a used, antique Remington Rider Pocket Cartridge revolver in 32 Rimfire. Octagon barrel measures 2" in length with a moderately bright, fair bore with scattered patches of frosting and shallow pitting. Revolver retains about 85% original nickel finish with patches of flaking, gray toning patina, freckled rust staining and some pinprick pitting in some the stained areas. Checkered hard rubber grips have toned to a dark chocolate brown and show areas of worn checkering and some small handling marks. Revolver is sighted with a cone type front and a rear notch cut in the top strap. Serial number on the frame inside the trigger guard and underside of the barrel are matching but the cylinder and cylinder cover plate are 4 digits higher than the serial. Timing appears good.
Top of the barrel is marked "Remington's Ilion NY" and the inside of both grip panels are marked with either "98" or "86".
