Here is a nice example of a hard to find Marlin Model 1893 chambered in the desirable 38-55 round. This rifle looks to be in overall very good condition for an antique. The octagon barrel measures about 26" and the bore looks surprisingly good - mostly bright as well as shiny with strong rifling mixed with the typical light frost but nothing serious. The action seems to function properly and locks up tight. The metal finish has a nice patina along with decent traces of original blue. The walnut forend appears to be original but the buttstock and buttplate look to be replacements though the work looks good and has the appearance of age. All in all this is a nice example being offered at a reasonable price so don't miss out. Look at the pictures carefully and ask any questions you may have
