Here is a rare excellent Hopkins and Allen, made by Bacon MFG, converted to a cartridge gun, in .38rf Cal with a 4" Barrel. Bacon MFG was contracted in the 1870's/1880's to take the un- sold Hopkins & Allen percussion revolvers and convert them to the then popular .38RF cartridge. They manufactured a new cylinder, but re-worked the original percussion barrel.
This gun is in excellent condition perhaps never fired. Barrel has 99% blue, cylinder 95% blue with full deep cylinder engraving present, Frame is grey with traces of case hardening. Grips 95% varnish with 3 small minor dents on bottom. All original parts and works as it should , bore bright. Serial number on butt 280 are the last 3 numbers of the serial number which appears to be 824280. Here is the chance to get a rare gun in the best of condition. Ask any questions you need to.
