Antique French Model MLE 1866-74 Gras Conversion single shot rifle in 11MM Gras. Made at the Mutzig Arsenal circa 1868 and Arsenal converted to Gras Conversion circa late 1870S. No import marks found. Matching serials on the barrel, stock and bolt components. Holy Water stock plug is missing. Stock roundel on the right side is dated “1880”. 32-½” barrel with Gras Pattern sights. Military blued finish. Oiled wood stock. Clearing rod present.
CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with a cleaned patina throughout. Wood has impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore is mostly clean, minus cleaned frosting/pitting in the left side, near the muzzle.
