Antique English Cogswell & Harrison SXS Double Barrel Shotgun 12 Gauge 1890

Antique English Cogswell & Harrison SXS Double Barrel Shotgun in 12 Gauge. Made circa 1890S. Side lock gun with Nitro Proofs on the barrels. Matching serials. "1" stamped in an overall on the toe. "1" also appears on the rib, meaning this gun was likely part of a set. Solid rib with bead front sight. Barrel is Damascus. Case colored, factory floral style engraved frame with fire blued screws. Double triggers and tang safety. Oil finished wood stock and forearm. Straight grip wood stock with checkered wrist and forearm. Butt stock has an added wood butt pad. 2-3/4" chamber. Barrels choke at cylinder (left) and improved cylinder (right). LOP is: 14-3/4". CONDITION: Metal is very fine, with natural wear and brown patina forming on the barrel. Frame has lost most of its case color. Wood has minor impressions and dents. Bores are shiny. Action lock up is tight. No modern ammunition should be fired in this gun! Good looking gun! Antique, no licence needed.
