It's not every day you get a chance to buy a firearm that is over 150 years old, but that is exactly what this Danish rifle is. It is a numbers matching firearm with the stock clearly marked with the same serial number as on the receiver which is 57571. Bottom of the rifle is marked "Kjobenhavns Toihuus 1880." .
This rolling block single shot rifle is chambered in 11.4x51R. Barrel is in very good condition (see pics) and measures 35 3/8" in length with moderately bright bore and good rifling showing. This rifle is from the collection of a military firearms collector and is in very good condition. Metal surfaces have completely toned to varying shades of gray patina and are in good share. Wood is in very good condition as well. All mechanical actions appear to function normally. Features a brass button in the stock and two barrel bands. The rear sight adjusts for elevation and windage, and there is a metal butt plate.
