This is an original Colt Open Top revolver, calibre .44rf, and made is 1872. It has Army size Grips and a shortened barrel to 5 3/8 inches.
Overall gray patina with light peppering throughouy. Serial number 4321 ( Only approx 7000 made) all matching except back strap number 50444 and gate 1055. Barrel markings mostly there and 2 line Patent dates clear on frame.
Mechanics are very good with a very strong main spiring..
