Antique Civil War Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 carbine in .52 Caliber. One of 8,000 made 1862-1865. Navy model with 24” barrel. Blade front sight and added v-notch rear. Leather barrel cover is of course absent. Blued finish and sanded/oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with mixed wear and brown patina throughout. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted, with a few minor pits. Very good overall rifling. Antique, no licence required in most areas.
