Antique Civil War 5th Model Burnside Carbine .54 Cal

Antique Civil War Burnside 5th Model Carbine single shot rifle in .54 Cal Burnside. Made circa 1863-1865. Matching serials on he frame and breech block. There is a faint cartouche on the left side of the wrist. 21” barrel with original sights. Original blued finish. Lock plate and hammer were nickel finished at some point. Wood has a light oil finish, being sanded/oiled at some point. Saddle ring bar and ring are present. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with mixed wear and brown patina.
Bore is frosted, with some pitting. Good overall rifling. Hammer and action are still working.
