Here is a Colt Model 1862 Police with fluted cylinder in 36 caliber. Early four-digit serial number on frame and barrel, made in 1862. Grip frame from an early model 1849. The grip frame and trigger guard show a good deal of original silver plating. All markings clear. The action is excellent and crisp with full lock-up on all five cylinders. The barrel has defined and shiny rifling.
