Early 1800s Antique HENRY NOCK Engraved FLINTLOCK .46 Caliber Pistol Famed Gunmaker HENRY NOCK’S Company
Antique H. Nock Flintlock Pistol, made circa the early 19th Century in England.
This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy cities of the British isles or beyond during the early to mid 1800s. This pistol is small, light, and simple. Before the Deringer, these were easily concealed. They were favored among the gentry and women because of these traits. Men would carry them concealed in a waistcoat pocket and women would hide them in a hand muff.
The overall condition is very good. Gray patina on the metal surfaces. The action is strong and will spark. The bore is smooth and has a dark patina. The grip has an old graft at the curve. It blends nicely and may have been done during the period of use.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
