1ST GEN. 1877 COLT SAA 4.75" NICKEL 45LC - MEL WOOD MASTER ENGRAVED / IVORY

We are proud to offer this Incredibly Early Antique Black Powder 1st Generation 1877 manufactured Colt Single Action Army SAA revolver featuring the most beautiful Hand Engraving by the famed engraver "MEL" Melvin Wood. This gorgeous work of art wears a very nice Brushed Nickel finish, sporting a desirable 4 3/4" barrel, chambered in the Iconic 45 Long Colt cartridge finished off with an Amazing set of very early antique one piece fitted Genuine Barked Ivory grips with the most incredible grains. She comes as shown in the very nice Deluxe wood presentation case with fitted interior.

This Colt SAA has been meticulously hand engraved with a very unique Floral Scrollwork with Punch Dot background & Cattle Brand style engraving combination by the famous Master Engraver Melvin Wood and is signed "MEL" on the right side of the frame. This is a very unique style engraving that really showcases this exceptional First Generation SAA!!

The bore is in good condition but does show wear and corrosion throughout from the black powder at that time. The chambers are in excellent condition showing minor corrosion. The action and lock up are in working order with the hammer having all 4 - clicks. Do not miss out on this incredible work of art!
