Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Saddle-Ring Carbine, #358642, .44 W.C.F. (.44-40) cal., 20'' round barrel, standard sights, marked with maker's name, address and 1884 patent date on top, caliber at breech; full-length mag tube below; receiver has right loading gate, left saddle ring/stud, is marked ''Model 1892/Winchester'' at upper tang, serial number at bottom front; oil-stained walnut forearm is retained by a single band, matching buttstock has steel carbine buttplate. Mfg'd 1906 with full-blued finish. Condition is very good retaining no original finishes but an overall clean gunmetal gray with sharp edges and markings, buttplate dark with mild erosion. Action is smooth; bore shines with sharp rifling.
