Springfield Armory 1894 Krag-Jorgensen rifle, 30-40 Krag. 30” barrel. SN 189XX dates it to 1896. Rear sight appears to be a M1901 30-40, adjustable for elevation and windage. The stock has had the cleaning rod removed and the groove filled with a wood plug. It has the circle P proof mark and a faint cartouche on the left side by the trigger guard. It has a M1896 butt plate.
Condition is Fine to Excellent (Antique) with over 80% finish. The finish appears original but could be a very nice vintage arsenal rebuild. All markings are crisp. Please let the photos be your guide. Comes with a reproduction canvas sling.
