This gorgeous antique shotgun has a lot of life in it. The English walnut has great color and pattern. The lock up is tight .
The fine Damascus twist barrels don't seem to have any dents, Unfortunately the hammers do not match and I'm not sure which one is the correct hammer. One non original hammer screw is also present. The bores are bright but I do some old pitting that looks to be polished. The forend is missing a sliver off of the side. I listed it as 1882 1883 because I'm not sure which one it is because I was told the hammers is how you would tell the difference. I'm leaning towards 1883 but really don't know because the serial numbers are also confusing.
ANTIQUE NO LICENCE REQUIRED.
46 1/2" overall with 30" barrels.
I do not know the chamber lengths.
I don't see or feel any dents in the barrels.
Both barrels choke measure modified..
Bores are bright with signs of old pitting.
The lock up is tight .
Action and triggers seem to work correctly.
Hammers do not match.
