Solid Frame Pocket Revolver, .32 RF, mfg. circa 1880's. These Otis Smith revolvers are unique in that the entire frame and barrel are made of brass, only the cylinder is steel. Made in both top-break style similar to Smith & Wesson and solid frame. Overall the pistol retains 90% bright original nickel finish with light scratches on the left side of the frame, some loss on the cylinder, and surface marring under the barrel. Original checkered “OAS” hard rubber grips fit perfect and show only very little wear. There is a chip missing at the right upper corner with some minor nicks along the right edge on the butt. Top of frame clearly marked “SMITH'S NEW MODEL” with serial number "20167" stamped on butt. Original hammer, spur trigger, cylinder pin, and blade front sight.
Action is very crisp and functions nicely.
Good looking example of a scarce and interesting Wild West era pocket revolver.
