You are viewing an Original, Antique 1860s Allen Drop Breech 41 Caliber Rifle. Serial #2xx. Rifle measures 42-1/2″ with 26″ Barrel, and is in Excellent condition. Barrel retains most of its blued finish with some light scratches on underside. Barrel is marked Allen & Co Worcerster, Mass with 1860 Patent date. The breech block, hammer and lever show most of their case colors. Frame has traces of blue. Stocks are excellent. Barrel and butt stock have sling swivel. Butt plate has trap door for Tool. Made circa 1860s in Worcester, Massachusetts by maker Allen.
